The City of Long Beach has agreed to pay refunds of telephone taxes collected between August 11, 2005 and December 19, 2008 pursuant to a class action settlement.
NOTICE: The Settlement was approved at the Final Settlement Hearing on October 29, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. The Final Approval Order may be viewed here.
Eligible Class Members can claim a refund of the following amounts without submitting documentation:
- $46 for mobile telephone service
- $27.50 for residential landline service and/or
- $46 for business landline service
You can also claim a refund of up to 100% of the actual tax you paid by submitting copies of bills, or by providing consent for certain carriers to search for your tax payment history.
